THURSDAY: Praying for Salvation.

Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 104 -

They say that for every person
who  gives  their  life  to Christ
there was someone who prayed
 them into the Kingdom!

Today, I'm stepping into the prayer closet and petitioning God for the Salvation of Souls.

Who shall we pray in today?

I sat with a dear friend of mine last night and discussed the upcoming Easter holiday.  You know how holidays are:  Family, Friends, Fun... and Faith?   Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas... even birthdays and graduations... Mother's and Father's Day -- as a Christian, they can often be times in which our faith is expressed in worship, praise and thanksgiving for all God has done.

Holidays are also a time in which our loved ones are gathered around us... many of them unsaved.    Emotions can range from exuberant celebration to great sadness for those who are lost -- their hearts barren of any faith in Christ.

1st --  Never underestimate the POWER of PRAYER.  People say that they believe in prayer, but not enough actually pray.  We should be praying for lost family and friends every day of the year.

One day I caught myself saying,
"I can't do much, I'll just pray."
 The Holy Spirit corrected me...
"JUST" pray?
It should be  "MUST" pray!"

2nd --  Instead of blasting everyone one with the gospel, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into creative conversations about Christ.  He knows who's heart is ready to receive Him and whose is not.  Even though your heart's intentions may be right, a machine gun technique of blasting everyone in sight usually does more harm than good.  If you are consistently praying for the lost -- day in and day out -- AND talking with God -- familiarizing yourself with His voice -- you'll always be ready to share the gospel in and out of season.

3rd -  Your actions speak louder than words ever will.  Live out God's Love.  1st Corinthians 13 reminds us... "If you don't have love -- you have nothing!"

Shoeless and in the Prayer Closet once again,

Gail
