Point of Reference

Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 95 -

When everything is upside down,
look to your Point of Reference.

A "point of reference"  is an object of stability that you stand on and view everything else from.

There are times in life, when things get a bit crazy.  Like jumping out of a plane, you find yourself free falling, not sure if you're upside down or right side up.  Today was like that for me.  As my life seems to be plummeting out of control, I notice that my RED shoes are still snug on my feet, and there, in my hand, is The Book -- my Point of Reference -- The Word of God.

Quick!  Chapter and verse.

Matthew 6:8
"...your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."

Now what?
Matthew 6:9-10 says...

"This then is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come
YOUR WILL BE DONE"

That's really what I want more than anything -- His perfect will for me.

"Oh God...
Let all doubt and fear be gone!
Let faith arise in my soul!
Let me enjoy this extreme adventure for all it's worth!"

Dear friends,  don't think for a moment that
triumphant stories come a dime a dozen.  No!
They come because you trust, believe God and leap!

You can't just trust and believe -- you must leap too!  Do you hear that sound?  It's my heart beating a mile a minute.  It's not easy to leap.  It's never easy to leap!  But what's the alternative?  To stay on the plane?  To never know the thrill of flying with God?  I can't let myself settle for that!  What about you?  What leap of faith is God asking you to take?

Today I jumped!  It's never a solo dive.  -- It's always tandem.  I refuse to go any other way, but  strapped to Him.  I'm  holding tightly to His Word, believing that He knows my every need, and knowing that HIS WILL will be accomplished.

I'm praying for you, too -- trusting that God will fill your heart with the faith needed to get you out of your plane and into the air with Him.

His Will Be Done!

In RED shoes,

Gail
