Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 92 -
Have you ever been told that you won something -- a computer -- a phone - a trip -- only to find out you've been scammed? You go to claim your prize and Ooops! It not a real MacBook. It's not a Smartphone. There's all sorts of red tape and restrictions around the so called "vacation of your dreams." What's with that? The company involved lacks credibility, character and integrity. The devil is a lot like that. He's a scammer!
On the other hand, God is good! He makes many promises to his children and often lavishes them with wonderful gifts. Gifts of Salvation, Healing, Deliverance, Provision, and the Holy Spirit.
He is faithful and true to deliver!
Luke 11:11-13 says...
"Now suppose one of you fathers
is asked by his son for a fish;
he will not give him a snake
instead of a fish, will he?
Or if he is asked for an egg,
he will not give him a scorpian, will he?
If you then, being evil, know how
to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your heavenly Father
give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"
I've noticed lately that many of God's children have been robbed by the Deceiver, himself. God has released gifts to them, and the devil has intercepted that delivery. Not only that... but the enemy has then convinced you and me that we'll just have to make do with something else that falls far short of our initial expectations.
I'm tired of hearing people say... God only 1/2 healed me. God only 1/2 delivered me. God only 1/2 provided for me. God only 1/2 filled me. There's something wrong with that. It doesn't match the character of God. But it does have the DNA of the Deceiver all over it! He's robbed us of the other 1/2.
God wants us fully saved, fully healed,
fully delivered, fully provided for,
and fully filled with His Spirit -- Nothing less!
When Jesus hung on that cross, he said, "It is finished!" (John 19:30) not 1/2 finished, but 100% finished. In Isaiah 53:5, it says... "By His stripes we are healed!" - completely -- once and for all!
Do you remember that old chorus? "I went to the enemy's camp and took back what he stole from me!" I don't know about you, but I'm embarking on a mission to recover what's rightfully mine! What about you? Are you ready for battle?
Today, before I put on my clothes, I dressed myself in the armor of God. This is serious business! I have a feeling that there will be some dents in this armor before the week is over. I went out on a prayer walk with the LORD and discussed strategy. He made it a point to mention that armor was not enough.
"You're going to need some arrows
in that quiver of yours!
Choose 7."
"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the
contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish
arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge
of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Here's what I chose:
Philippians 2:10-11 (Speak "The Name of Jesus")
"...that at THE NAME of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God, the Father."
1 John 4:4 (God in me is Greater)
"You dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
2 Chronicles 20:15 (The Battle is the Lords.)
"This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.'"
Exodus 14:14 (God will fight for me.)
"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Romans 8:11a (The Spirit of God is in me.)
"...the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you."
Romans 8:37 (I'm more than a conqueror!)
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
Zechariah 4:6 (It's spiritual, not physical strength.)
"Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty."
Today, I'm setting out my RED boots, and preparing for battle!
