Commissioned

Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 108 -

An Official Charge to Step Forth
into God's Divine Destiny!

Remember The Wizard of Oz?  Shortly after Dorothy's arrival in Munchkin Land, Glinda, the Witch of the North, fitted Dorothy with her most powerful weapon -- The Ruby Slippers -- then sent her off on the journey of a life time.  Off she headed to the Emerald City looking for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.  And just how does she get there?  Glinda, along with the munchkins instructed her to "Follow the Yellow Brick Road."

Every day I meet Christians who don't have a clue about what they're supposed to be doing for Christ.  They want to serve Him, but days, weeks, months and even years go by, while they think about how they'll do that.  In Matthew's gospel, Jesus tells us what we're supposed to do:

"Then Jesus came to them and said,
'All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me.  Therefore go
and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them obey
everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.'"
Matthew 28:18-20

It frustrates me, at times, that so many Christians want to push aside The Great Commission stating,  "That's just for the twelve disciples"  or  "Not everyone's a Billy Graham."

Maybe everyone isn't called to have
a worldwide evangelistic society,
but can everyone at least try to win 1?

Last night, my friend Tammy invited me to help her with a Commissioning Service she was having for her ministry team.  One by one they stepped up onto the platform where I anointed them with oil in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Then, Tammy took a beautiful, jeweled sword and rested it on their left shoulder, prophesied over them individually, and touching their right shoulder with the sword, commissioned them as Warrior Brides to do the work of the Lord as God instructs them.

Over fifty women were powerfully moved, as the anointing of God came upon them.  Their eyes filled with tears, their lips quivered, their spirits soared.  They left the platform eager to fulfill the call of God on their lives.

I was excited to learn that all of these women are active in the Army of God, serving in various capacities.  Some are part of the prayer team, fasting and praying for speakers and events.  Some are part of the ministry team, praying for individuals, at the altar, for salvation, healing, deliverance and provision.  Some visit the sick.  Some help with the administration of events.  Some help in the kitchen. The list goes on and on.
As a team, they fulfill The Great Commission,
winning the lost to Christ.

I want to encourage all my brothers and sisters today to get about the Father's Business.  Get on The Yellow Brick Road and start your journey!  You are never too young or too old to be part of God's Army -- winning the lost to Christ!  Whether you're passing out tracks, sharing your testimony, offering up prayers, or assisting those who are.  God's enlisting You!

In RED shoes,
Gail
