Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 61 -
"Are you coming?" He said.
Yesterday was a tough day for me. During my prayer walk, God had told me that He was about to open a very important door. I didn't specifically know what that door was, but it didn't really matter, because by the end of the day, only one door had presented itself and it closed -- right in my face. Something that I was expecting to happen, didn't and it was made clear that it never would. Bummer!
I didn't want to blog last night, but I sensed the Holy Spirit encouraging me to sit down at my computer and write anyway. Sure enough, what came out was a message on WAITING. I took that as a Word from God, slept on it, and woke up bright eyed -- ready for a new day! I sent this text to my friend early this morning:
"It's a new day!"
I'm stepping out in RED shoes,
looking for God.
I'm off to The Harvest!"
Off I headed to church, and to my surprise, there was a special guest speaker. Pastor Steve Uppal from England spoke to us about having a daily relational encounter with Christ. His emphasis was on getting in that secret place with God and getting to know Christ in a more intimate way.
What can I say?
He was singing my song.
When the service came to an end, everyone closed their eyes and bowed their heads as he prayed. I don't remember anything he said in that prayer, because while he was talking, God showed me a vision that changed my life.
There was an open door and a bright light was shining through it. Jesus was just about to cross the threshold of it when he reached back his right hand to me, looked over his shoulder and said, "Are you coming?"
The Hidden Treasure &
The Pearl of Great Price.
It was only a moment, but it seemed like a twenty minute personal teaching from the Holy Spirit himself.
Matthew 13:44-46 says...
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."
In that divine moment, the Spirit clearly spoke to me...
you have sold everything
for your pearl: JESUS!
"YES! YES!"
I shouted.
"I'M COMING!
WAIT FOR ME!"
stretching my left arm towards him,
grabbling his hand.
And through the threshold we went,
RED shoes and all!
