Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 76 -
Are you coming?
Today I stepped out of my house in RED shoes and met up with one of my dearest friends. It was a day of "iron sharpening iron." I love those days! Both of us just came back from our own individual "road trips" and had much to share about what God has been doing in our lives.
"As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another."
Proverbs 27:17
There we were sitting in "Moe's" snacking on nachos and telling one another our stories. Our journals were spread open on the table, alongside our Bibles. We were flipping to this verse and that one, singing songs, reciting scripture, and testifying of the miraculous and wonderful works of the Lord Jesus Christ! That's pretty tough to beat -- especially when the Holy Spirit sits right there in the booth with you!
After a couple of hours, we gathered up our things and jumped in the car to take off. Before leaving, we held hands, bowed our heads and began to pray. Oh yes! We had our own little Holy Ghost prayer meeting right there in the parking lot! We prayed for one another. We prayed for our loved ones -- family & friends. We prayed for our upcoming ministry meetings. And we prayed for other works of God in our community.
Today was a day of encouragement. It was a day of getting in touch with the heart of God. It was a day of ministry to one another. It was a day of decision making. It was a day of great blessing on so many different levels. At one point it was obvious that God was giving us some clear direction and instruction about where we are going and what's expected of us.
Filled with the Spirit,
we agreed in unity
to STEP UP
to the next level with God!
That got me to thinking... What about those of you who are following us as we follow Christ? Are you coming? As we STEP UP to the next level, you will have to do the same -- otherwise, you'll be left behind.
Like a pack -- a herd -- a flock,
we move together in unison.
Come on! Let's go! It's just one step up. You can do it!
In RED shoes,
Gail
