What's God up to?

Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 161 -

I haven't got a clue!
All I know is that the door is locked.

Today, I let out a huge sigh, slumped down in my chair and whispered in despair,

"It's just not coming together."

You can imagine how surprised I was when the LORD retorted,

"Oh! But your wrong, Gail.
It's all coming together right now."

I wasn't really expecting a response, but I welcomed God's words, all the same!
Proverbs 3:5 continues to come to mind over and over again:

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
Lean not on your own understanding."

When we walk by faith, we walk each day, trusting that God will bring to pass what He's told us.

Numbers 23:19 says...

"God is not human, that He should lie;
not a human being that He should change his mind.
Does He speak and then not act?
Does He promise and not fulfill?"

Of course not.  God will always come through on His promises!

He's a Promise Keeper,
not a Promise Breaker.

Infact, God has said to me a couple times now,

"Gail... You have no clue what I'm doing.
I'm at work in ways you know not of."

Don't you just want to know sometimes what God's doing behind the curtain?  How is He bringing it all together?  I'm wondering...

"Do I need a pair of night vision goggles
to see that kind of thing?"

Sometimes it's tiring walking by faith -- believing without seeing.  I suppose it's like carrying a baby in your belly for nine months. When it gets down to those last couple weeks, you simply can't wait.  You're not comfortable anymore.  You've had enough. You're ready pop!  Let's get on with it. -- Am I going to birth this spiritual baby or what?

But the baby's not coming one day sooner than it's appointed time.  I know that.
In the meantime, I just have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

"Let us not get tired of doing what is good,
for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest
if we do not give up!"
Galatians 6:9

Meanwhile, I am reminded who my partner is...  He's GOD!  He can do the most incredible things!  And He does do them.   Like for example.  He can unlock 1 door, and lo and behold you find that all the doors behind it are open for you to walk straight through.  Now that's encouraging!

When I birthed my three kids, the big sign was the water breaking.  When that happened, it was time to go to the hospital -- and fast!   This time, it's a little different.  God told me to look for the open door.  That should be easy to spot.  Up to now, every door has been closed.  I would love to see an open door!

I've tossed the night goggles, but make no mistake, I'm stepping out each day in RED shoes, with my eyes wide open.  When I see that open door... I'm going on through!

"I will not leave you until
I have done what I promised you."
Genesis 28:15b
