Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 153 -
I love it when My Daddy shows off!
Something wonderful happened to me today in the prayer
closet. Like a sudden bolt of
lightning, the revelation struck me:
God is giving me a man who is a powerful,
well experienced
swordsman.
He’s not only a
“chapter and verse” kind of guy,
but he continually uses it and
preaches it
with vigor, under the anointing!
It’s not enough to have a sword and know all about your sword. You have to be a skillful swordsman! That means you have to go out and use your sword – often -- so that you become good at it. Anyone can quote chapter and verse. That’s not enough! You’ve got to live it! Then once you’ve proved it, by walking it out successfully, you’ve got the personal testimonies
you need to preach it!
That was one of the nonnegotiables on my list:

Do you
remember when God told me that He
was The God of Details and that I was to make a detailed list of what I wanted
in a husband? He said to me…
“You’ve forgotten, Gail, how detailed I can be!
Make a list. Leave nothing
out. Get detailed.
In fact, make it over-detailed!
Truth be told, I’ve already chosen him and
He meets every detail on the list that you
haven’t even written yet.
That’s because I
know you, better than you know yourself,
and I already know everything you’re going
to put down on that list.
You’ll see!
I’m The God of Details!”
In my church there’s a very nice man that blows the
shofar. He’s not overly outspoken,
but he’s prayerful, prophetic and passionate about Jesus. He came to me last week at the end of
service, almost in tears. He told
me that God has had him praying for me and that he’s seen a glimpse of the man
I’m to marry.
“He’s a powerful
handler of God’s Word,”
He said, “Wow! Can he preach!”
As I stood in my prayer closet early this morning, not yet
in my RED shoes, God took all that, dropped it into my
heart, and turned the light on. I found myself falling to my knees, and praising Him without
reservation. God said He was The
God of Details, and now He’s starting to prove Himself.
I love it when My Daddy shows
off!
Suddenly, from the deepest parts of my belly erupted a new
and powerful tongue like nothing I’ve ever spoken before. It was bold and robust! As it came forth, I could feel the
prayer warrior in me doubling in size in the spirit realm.
It was a strong, commanding
tongue
and it came forth with authority!
I’ve been waiting for this tongue to surface for months. I heard it once and thought, “Oooo
– I want one of those!”
You can’t make something like that happen though. God’s got to give it
to you – like a gift! Today
I received that gift and I’ve been playing with it all day – practicing it,
exercising it. Daddy likes you to
use the gifts He gives you. He
doesn’t like it when they get put on a shelf.
“He fills my life with good
things!”

Heading out the door in RED shoes!
