Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 163 -
Look what The LORD has done!
Hallelujah!
"God will do it again, and again and again.
He's the same God today that He ever has been.
Yesterday, Now, Forever -- He's always the same.
There's no reason to doubt, God will do it again!"
Today I just happened to come across an old Youtube video I had posted several years ago. I've watched it many, many times -- just not in a long time. Today, however, I clicked on the arrow and watched it again. It never fails to move me.
To me, it is the epitome of God's faithfulness!
In 2010, my first book was published, The Yellow Brick Road: A Woman's Journey to the Edge and Back. Chapter 16 is the story of how I almost lost my son, Joe, to a drug overdose... BUT God was faithful to deliver him! Hallelujah! At the time of the book's release, Joe had come a long way in his recovery, but still had a ways to go. He'd made some good choices and walked them out. The spiritual piece, however, was still missing. He was searching for purpose.
Chapter 16: The Dark Forest
- UPDATE -
Here's what the book doesn't tell you. A couple months after the book was published, Joe -- totally out of the blue -- decided to pack up everything and go to Master's Commission USA in Dallas, Texas to pursuit the call of God on his life.
What? You're kidding!
No -- I'm not.
Suddenly a door of opportunity opened. God got a hold of Joe's ear and Joe's heart, and the next thing you know, he left his old life behind -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- and pursued a life, walking with Jesus.
MASTER'S COMMISSION USA...
to
know God
and to
make Him
known.
to
know God
and to
make Him
known.
Nine months later, I sat front and center at his graduation as he gave this brief testimony that says it all. God had changed his life, forever!

Today as I sit in Starbucks in my RED shoes, sipping on chai, tears are running down my cheeks as I'm so blatantly reminded that my God is an AWESOME God!
"The LORD is with me;
I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?"
Psalm 118:6
