Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 155 -
Capture Who?
The Ones Falling through the Cracks.
A while back I lead a woman to the LORD who got dynamically
saved! Her life was
transformed. When it was all over,
she didn’t even look like the same person. She went from victim to victory in a matter of months. Hallelujah!
She also had a lot of needs. She was homeless.
She needed food and shelter.
She needed clothing. She
needed a job. She needed emotional
support. She needed
counseling. And that was just the
beginning!
In my quest to help her, it appeared that every door was
shut. Everywhere we went, she fell through the cracks. When it came to qualifying for anything, her case was always pushed to
the side. She was too young. She was too old. She had too much of this and not enough
of that. She never quite fit into
the guidelines of what was offered.
She was one of those
people who
kept falling through
the cracks.
Though everyone agreed she needed help, no one would make an
exception. My friends and I were
able to fill in the gaps here and there, but it wasn’t enough. Eventually, something emerged
-- a program that fit. A ministry scooped her up into their
arms, loved her and worked with her until she got on her feet and was able to
take care of herself effectively.
Today, while in the prayer closet asking God what to pray for
a particular friend of mine, God
had me pray that 10 people -- who would normally fall through the cracks -- would come that person’s way and
that they’d introduce them to Christ, right there on the spot. It might be in grocery line, or at the
coffee shop, at the airport, or
even at the beach or a baseball game.
“It won’t be a long, time-consuming process,”
said the LORD. “All they
have to do is ask…
“Have you ever asked God
into the center of your life?”
“I can help you do that right
now!”
Then pray accordingly.”
None of us want to see people fall through the cracks,
especially when it comes to salvation.
They are those people who were planning on coming to church at Easter,
but got sick. Or maybe they
started going to church, but never quite connected with anyone and
stopped. They have so many
questions about God, but no one has ever just asked them, “Why don’t we just ask God to come into your
life and take it from there?”
Today, I’m praying for myself, as well as all of you -- that
God would bring people our way that need to connect with Him, but keep falling
through the cracks. Quick and easy
conversions. Don’t worry about
understanding all the techniques of soul winning. This is about simply introducing people to Christ in prayer.
“Father… We’re game! Bring them our way! There’s nothing we’d like more than to
introduce people to You, and get
them started on their own, personal, spiritual journey. Holy Spirit… let us work in Divine
Partnership with You, to make this happen. Give us a joyful and inviting spirit. Help us to smile more. Stir up that love in our heart that
draws people in! Put the right
words on our lips to converse with people and pray them into the Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name… AMEN.”
Now… for those of you who don’t know Christ and would like
me to introduce you to Him.
Private message me today.
Let me do the honors of introducing you! No more falling through the cracks. God is making a way for you right now. Here's YOUR opportunity to connect!
In RED shoes,
Gail
