Stepping Out in RED Shoes!
- Day 139 -
Step 3:
Let's Work Together!
Let's Work Together!
The very day I gave my life to Christ, a relationship began with The Almighty. From day one, we talked with one another and it has never stopped.
He spoke through the Bible.
He spoke through Prayer.
And He spoke through Others.
"When you come,"
He said
"I want you to bring others with you."
A few days later, He gave me a vision for the lost. I wept for an entire weekend, realizing that I had the answer for the masses -- that Jesus Saves!
But people didn't want to hear it. How sad.
From that day forward, I had a mission in mind. "To bring others!" To this day, that mission hasn't changed. It's at the core of who I am. I can't do that myself, but with God all things are possible. He's committed to training me, personally.
"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."
John 14:26
"Take My yoke upon you and learn from me."
Matthew 11:29a
"I will instruct and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."
Psalm 32:8
"Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say."
Exodus 14:12
A daily lifestyle of praying and reading God's Word provides great opportunity for God and I to speak. Truly, "His Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." (Psalm 119:105). I use it always to assure me that I am in alignment with God. That is a must!
But I also walk out the door everyday, putting legs on His Word and applying it to my life! We walk and talk together. He tells me things. He shows me things. And then He shows me them in His Word. That's how I know it's God.
He's "The Teacher" and
He brings along others to
confirm, validate, fill in the gaps,
encourage and inspire.
Thank God I'm not in this divine endeavor of saving the world alone! He continually brings experienced brothers and sisters in Christ my way to answer my questions, show me the way it's done, correct me, inspire me, pray with me -- and more. They fill in the gaps of his teaching quite nicely.
Today, for example, Bonnie introduced me to another one of her friends -- a faithful, Spirit-filled warrior in God's mighty army! Her testimonies were powerful and inspiring! Her insight was divine! Her teaching was just what I needed to hear! When she prays, it's life changing!
on St. Armand's Circle, sharing the secrets of God.
discussing God's battle plan and
strategizing on how we will expand our borders.
As personal and prominent as God is in my life, He loves when His children work together. I'm glad for that. As much as I love working with God, I need that human touch as well. God created it that way. We're a family -- The Family of God.
Step 3: TOGETHER we will see His Work accomplished!
In RED shoes,
Gail
